Quantiphi Earns Google Cloud Specialization in Data Analytics Migration

Quantiphi, a leading AI-focused digital engineering company, has earned the Google Cloud Partner Advantage Specialization in Data Analytics Migration Services. This recognition highlights Quantiphi's expertise in migrating data and analytics workloads to Google Cloud using advanced AI technologies.

A key enabler of this achievement is Quantiphi's proprietary generative AI-powered developer assistant, Codeaira, built on Google’s Gemini models. Codeaira significantly reduces migration timelines, transforming months-long processes into weeks, and accelerates the adoption of AI-driven analytics solutions for clients.

“This Google Cloud specialization underscores our commitment to innovation and transforming data migrations,” said Mohak Moondra, Head of Data and Cloud at Quantiphi. “With Codeaira, we’re not just improving migration speeds but reimagining traditional IT services into a Software-as-a-Service model. This enables businesses to harness Google Cloud’s analytics capabilities faster, driving digital transformation at an unparalleled pace.”

Pallab Deb, Managing Director, Strategic Solution Partners and Industry Value Networks at Google Cloud, added, “Quantiphi’s specialization in data analytics migration helps businesses modernize their data strategies and accelerate digital transformation. Their ongoing advancements in generative AI and other cutting-edge technologies optimize data ecosystems for their customers.”

Quantiphi is among the first Google Cloud partners to secure the Data Analytics Migration - Services Specialization, showcasing its next-generation capabilities in data engineering and cloud migration. This milestone adds to the company’s portfolio of Google Cloud Partner Advanced Specializations, which includes Application Development, Machine Learning, Contact Center AI, Generative AI, Data Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Infrastructure, and Security.

“Data is at the heart of business strategy today,” Moondra stated. “Leveraging the power of AI to unlock the full potential of data is crucial for enterprises aiming to innovate and gain a competitive edge across industries.”

RBA Looks to Partner for Legacy System Migration to New Data Center

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) is seeking a migration partner to support its ongoing IT modernization initiative. The bank has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to identify a partner capable of transitioning its legacy IT systems to a new colocation data center.

This initiative is part of RBA’s Core Modernization (CoreMod) Program, launched in late 2023, which involves relocating the bank’s head office data center to a CDC Data Centres colocation facility. The current data center contract is set to run until March 2034.

As reported by ARN, the RFP outlines a need for a partner to deliver reliable, scalable, and sustainable migration services while mitigating risks associated with aging infrastructure and enhancing the resilience of critical systems. Prospective bidders are required to develop comprehensive plans for migrating applications, services, and systems. The contract award is expected in May 2025, with work commencing in June and the migration slated for completion by December 2026.

The RBA previously engaged NTT Australia in September 2024 for the design and implementation of its new IT infrastructure. Throughout 2024, the RBA also entered into three additional contracts with NTT Australia, including two for Cisco hardware and software worth AU$67.5 million (US$45.75 million) and one for F5 load balancers valued at AU$16.1 million (US$10.91 million). In May 2024, the bank awarded a managed services contract for IT infrastructure to Hitachi Vantara, worth AU$13.6 million (US$9.22 million).

The CoreMod program, which is expected to conclude by late 2027, encompasses multiple project streams, including data center modernization, application migration, and decommissioning of the existing data center.

The RBA’s modernization efforts were prompted by several incidents at its head office data center. In August 2018, a power failure disrupted all systems operating from the data center, including the Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System (RITS). In October 2022, a software update failure on a virtual server caused significant delays, holding up hundreds of thousands of payments for five days.

CDC Data Centres, which is hosting the new facility, operates data centers in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, and Auckland. The company expanded its Sydney presence by acquiring land for a second campus in May 2023, with construction starting in October 2024.
